Copywriting for charities and social good
I’ve always worked with words, from my early days as a bookseller to my current work in charity content. Great copy is impactful. Sometimes it converts. Sometimes it informs. But it should always be powerful.
Words can, and do, make a difference.

Why work with me?
I specialise in charity content and copywriting, though I’ve written for a range of organisations and purposes over the last 20+ years. I’ve worked in B2B, B2C as well as non-profits. I’ve created compelling copy for digital and for print, to tell stories, to sell products, to engage and to promote, to fundraise, to inform, to advise.

I’ve written reports, websites, social posts, email newsletters, campaign copy, leaflets and posters.
I have a particular skill in transforming technical and specialist copy into engaging and accessible content. I am also skilled with SEO and understand what’s needed to create compelling online content.
How can I help?
Copywriting projects I’ve worked on recently include:

-
website content to support professionals with keeping children safe online
-
engagement emails (both fundraising and campaigns) for an international development charity
-
articles to help young people recognise unhealthy relationships
-
social posts about fishing, aqueducts and water voles as part of a legacy campaign
-
content for a detailed safeguarding self-assessment for children
-
synopses for resources to support domestic abuse professionals
What will it cost?
The all-important question: how much will it cost? I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach as every project is different. Once I know a bit more about what you need, I estimate the time required and will quote a project fee. This includes any research or reading I need to do, as well as copy creation and a round (sometimes two) of edits following feedback.
