About me

I'm passionate about transforming technical and complex copy into accessible and engaging content

I've always worked with words – from my early days as a bookseller through my career working in academic publishing, elearning and finally, the third sector.

My work has blended marketing, communications, project management and digital. I've been the sole marketing and digital person, and I've led a team of 8.

My work has been given a Plain English award, and my qualifications include the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing and the Google UX certification. I've got experience using a range of website CMSes including Umbraco, Drupal, Wagtail and Wordpress.

Since 2018, I've been freelance providing services from copywriting to content design. I've worked on small one-off projects and I've been that much-needed extra pair of hands during busy times. I've provided ongoing support and expertise and I've helped train teams. Whether I'm helping with a large scale website redevelopment or some small content tweaks, I'm passionate about what I do.
