Recent projects
SafeLives: New website
Domestic abuse charity SafeLives needed a new website to showcase their training courses, best practice guidance and evidence-based resources for professionals.
I worked with SafeLives from the early days, setting the team up with a content audit to help them establish their content needs, through the discovery phase with their chosen web agency, design and development, testing and content development.

I provided project management support during exceptionally busy times for the small in-house comms team and helped to upskill them in digital areas such as SEO, UX and accessibility. I created content, advised on website design, reviewed objectives and created the redirects strategy.

The new website has an improved structure and UX, enabling professionals to find the knowledge and resources they need quickly and easily.
NSPCC Learning: Online safety
Keeping children safe online is one of three key impact goals for NSPCC. The NSPCC Learning team commissioned me to restructure and develop the online safety content for professionals.
The team had already done some insight work but this needed reviewing and expanding. I carried out a content audit, UX and SEO review. I identified opportunities to streamline user journeys, improve the user experience and build upon the existing good search performance.
I drafted new copy and optimised existing content, bringing all online safety related information, guidance and resources into a new central hub.
This provided a better experience for navigating users and the new content targeted existing and new search opportunities.
HMICFRS: digital comms team support
HMICFRS (His Majesty's Inspectorate for Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services) required interim support during a particularly busy time and while recruiting for a permanent member of staff.
I worked alongside the existing team providing day-to-day support with uploading content to the CMS, proofreading colleagues' content creation and carrying out UAT for ongoing development work.

In addition, the team asked me to review the IA and user journeys for the 'Our work' section. I analysed data from Google (GA4 and Google Search Console) and Matomo, looked at user flows and audited the content against IA and UX principles and provided a set of recommendations for the in-house team to progress.
